A joint operation by the IDF's arms and air forces led to the thwarting of a naval attack, the IDF Spokesman announced today (Monday).
According to the announcement, sea arm fighters have in recent days identified suspicious movements in the northern Gaza Strip, near the "assets" of Hamas' naval force.
They followed the movements of operatives in the area, failed to recognize aircraft with weapons of IDF downloaded days ashore. And destroyed it.

A few hours before the announcement, the IDF and the GSS reported the assassination of Hassam Abu-Harbid, commander of the northern Gaza Strip brigade in the Islamic Jihad organization.
Abu Harbid, the organization's commander for the past 15 years, was killed using a fighter jet.
