The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine carried out a solidarity stand in front of the UN-ESCWA headquarters in Beirut to denounce and condemn the crimes of the Israeli aggression in occupied Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, and to demand international protection for the Palestinians in the occupied territories.

The participants in the pause, including representatives of Lebanese and Palestinian parties, bodies and national figures chanted in support of the resistance, Jerusalem and the right of return of Palestinian refugees, and carried Palestinian and Lebanese flags and banners denouncing the Israeli aggression and crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.

A member of the Front’s Politburo, Ali Faysal, renewed the Palestinians ’adherence to the right of return of the Palestinian refugees and their Palestinian identity, stressing that the Zionist war machine would not alter the Palestinians’ resistance and their determination to defend their rights.

The participants in the pause called on the United Nations and its affiliated institutions to provide international protection for the Palestinian people under occupation and to prosecute the enemy for his crimes against civilians, through a memorandum they delivered to the assistant representative of the ESCWA Executive Office Muhannad Al-Mousawi.

The memorandum affirmed (the refugees' adherence to the right of return in accordance with Resolution 194).
