Alain Ducasse and the Plaza Athénée, it's over!

2021-05-19T07:25:17.171Z

The Parisian palace, owned by the Dorchester Collection group, and the three-star chef have announced the end of their collaboration on June 30.

The partnership between the Plaza Athénée and Alain Ducasse will not be renewed when it expires on June 30.

Alain Ducasse, who had run the restaurant at the Parisian palace since 2000, had won three stars for the Alain Ducasse restaurant at the Plaza Athénée, where he had developed the concept of “naturalness” with Romain Meder since 2014.

The Dorchester Collection group (which owns nine hotels in the United Kingdom, France, Italy and the United States) and Alain Ducasse will however continue their collaboration in Paris, with Le Meurice Alain Ducasse, and in London, with Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester.

The name of the replacement for the Monegasque leader is not yet known, but rumors are circulating about that of Jean Imbert. This one, like the Plaza, refuses to confirm the information.
