Monday, May 17th: District office annoyed: "More private celebrations on a larger scale"

The meeting of the Gmund municipal council with the corona outbreak annoyed many.

Read here what the district office has to say about it.

The 7-day incidence in the district, which is decisive for any easing, remains unchanged at a high level.

Yesterday the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported the value 141. New infections have been reported since Friday 44.

After all, an average of eleven per day would be enough for an incidence of less than 100 in a few days.

But because of the holiday, the RKI suspects, further new infections could only be reported late.

The district office reports in its update that the infections in the district are mainly due to outbreaks in families.

Between Thursday and Sunday alone, nine families with up to five members were reported.

In addition, there were “more and more private celebrations on a large scale”.

Infections had also occurred here.

"Annoying", thinks the district office.

Because the permitted framework - meeting of a household with only one other person - these meetings have of course clearly exceeded.

On top of that annoying: Participation in such celebrations is often withheld from employees of the Contact Tracing Team.

Means: A possible chain of infection is initially not recognized, the virus can spread.

A daycare group in Schaftlach, which was sent to quarantine along with three employees, is now also affected.

In the next few days, the quarantine in the asylum seekers' homes in Otterfing and Valley will be lifted.

Numbers and rules in the Miebach district on May 17th

© District Office Miesbach

In the light of the high numbers, District Administrator Olaf von Löwis (CSU) turned to the state government - including in a video conference with the Alpine districts, including Prime Minister Markus Söder.

Löwis' goal: more vaccine for the district.

The feedback: sobering.

In the near future, the vaccine deliveries by the federal government for Bavaria will be so low that second vaccinations have priority, it said.

As no additional cans for Miesbach.

Medical vaccination advice

The district office is now offering medical advice on vaccinations over the phone.

The doctors can be reached on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on 0 80 25/7 04 77 77.

Sunday May 16: Incidence begins to decline - How big is the holiday effect?

Now, of all times, when the stricter corona rules are beginning to take effect in the Miesbach district, the 7-day incidence is falling significantly.

The value fell to 142 on Saturday and to 134 on Sunday.

According to the RKI, the total number of positive tests reported in the district since the beginning of the pandemic was 4,361 on Sunday, and the number of deaths was 79.

However, the RKI itself advises caution when interpreting the numbers: “Due to the public holiday on Thursday, May 13th, when interpreting the number of cases, it should be noted that fewer people visit a doctor on public holidays and bridge days, which means fewer samples are taken and fewer laboratory tests are carried out.

This means that fewer pathogens are reported to the responsible health authorities. "

For the district of Miesbach this means: The trend was in the right direction on the long weekend.

How resilient and sustainable this trend is will only become apparent in the course of the coming week.

Friday, May 14th: From Sunday only Click & Collect allowed

The district is even taking a step back in terms of retail from this Sunday.

Because the 7-day incidence value was over 150 on three consecutive days, all shops that are not part of the extended daily needs are only allowed to offer "Click & Collect".

Appointment shopping in the store with a negative test or a complete vaccination is no longer allowed.

The opening of shops with customer traffic for trade, service and craft businesses is therefore prohibited.

Only the collection of pre-ordered goods is allowed, announced the district office on Friday.

To enable “Click & Meet” again, the incidence must be below 150 for five consecutive days.

Relaxations are then possible from day seven.

Thursday, May 13th: The highest 7-day incidence in Upper Bavaria

District - While the 7-day incidence is now below 100 almost everywhere in Upper Bavaria, it has risen again in the Miesbach district.

On Wednesday it passed the 150 mark and on Thursday it went up by one to 155.

Should the Robert Koch Institute again report a value above 150 today, Friday, “Click & Meet”, shopping with an appointment and negative test, will also be prohibited from Monday.

Short-term trend in incidence

© District Office Miesbach

39 new infections reported on Wednesday meant the highest value in the past two weeks. Relaxation, which the catering and hosting industries in particular, are hoping for, are now a long way off. Even if there are no new infections, the 7-day incidence may not drop below 100 until Sunday. That would be just in time for the district office to allow the easing for Saturday, May 22nd, but the hurdle is high. There should only be a single-digit number of new infections. The district office has not commented on the number published on Wednesday. What is striking, however, is that the number of active cases in Gmund has risen by a whopping 13. As is well known, a municipal council meeting there turned out to be a corona hotspot. With 50 active cases, Gmund is at the top of the list.Weyarn, Fischbachau, Schliersee and Valley are also relatively badly affected, measured by the number of inhabitants.

Today, on the bridging day, the authority is not open.

As a result, no new figures will be published.

Anyway, the decisive factor is the value that the Robert Koch Institute names.

Incidentally, the 7-day incidence of 155 in the Miesbach district is the highest in all of Upper Bavaria.

Only the city of Rosenheim (113) and the districts of Mühldorf (106) and Altötting (110) were over 100 on Thursday.

Tuesday, May 11th: A quick second vaccination: That won't work for many

District - In a rush to get vaccinations quickly, that's what Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) has promised by wanting to enable a second vaccination with Astrazeneca just four weeks after the first appointment (we reported in the supraregional section).

But for those here in the district who have already been vaccinated with Astrazeneca, the quick second prick will hardly be possible.

As the district office reports, the appointments at the Hausham vaccination center cannot simply be postponed.

This is only possible with proof of the requirement.

This does not include vacation planning.

+

So it stays with the existing dates. Until Astrazeneca only went to family doctors, that is, since mid-April, this vaccine was also inoculated in Hausham. The further deliveries are firmly agreed until the beginning of July. "Other delivery modalities are not an option," says the district office. In fact, there are Astrazeneca people who have been vaccinated for the first time who cancel their second appointment and try to get to the doctor earlier. "Every day there are around ten rejections by e-mail that say exactly that," says the district office. General practitioner Josef Hampel from Hausham also receives such inquiries, as he explains to our newspaper. Apart from the fact that, due to lack of demand, he only orders Biontech anyway, he rejects the above request because the procedure is too complicated and could lead to problems. The district office sees it similarly. Only if there is an urgent reason for a quick second vaccination - something of an upcoming operation - one can take the cumbersome route.

+

These rules apply today

© District Office Miesbach

The modalities for the special campaign in the Holzkirchen Middle School also remain unchanged.

Here the district administered 2000 Astrazeneca doses, half of them to people without any prioritization.

The weekend for the second vaccination, 16./17./18.

July, is unchanged - Spahn's announcement or not.

The District Office said: "We simply don't have the vaccine earlier - we receive custom-made deliveries and cannot bring anything forward."

The booking system is currently automatically sending requests to arrange a second date for the special offer.

According to the district office, these can be ignored.

The same day of the week and the same time as the first appointment still apply.

"It is not possible to postpone the dates in individual cases either," it says.

If you are in a particularly hurry to vaccinate and therefore want Astrazeneca, you only have to go to your family doctor.

However, as Spahn also says, it should be considered: This vaccine unfolds its full protective effect if the second dose is injected twelve weeks after the first.

+

The incidence development in the Miesbach district.

© District Office Miesbach

There have now been 25 new infections.

The incidence rises again and is initially further away from the 100 limit.

Monday, May 10th: The focus is still on the incidence

While the beer gardens in the Starnberg district are open today, the Miesbach district has to wait even longer.

Today the 7-day incidence is 142. Almost like a football club in a relegation battle, the calculation now begins as to when the value could fall below the relevant limit of 100.

For beer gardens & Co. to open at the beginning of the Whitsun holidays (Friday, May 21), this would have to happen this week.

Because it is only on the seventh day, after the incidence has reached double digits - and of course has to stay - that the easing takes effect.

+

Incidence curve in the Miesbach district on May 10th.

© District Office Miesbach

Wednesday and Thursday last week there were very high values: 38 and 27, together 65. If the district removes this burden and the numbers remain low - about the same as yesterday, the RKI could perhaps achieve a value below 100 at the end of the week Report. Reading coffee grounds anyway - but that's where hope lies at the moment.

The district office is also concerned with the infection process, but the authority does not even want to make a prognosis. “All statements on this would be purely speculative. The last few weeks have shown that anything is possible. There is currently no discernible trend ”, it says on request. There were 29 new infections over the weekend, and there were twelve on Monday. And: The South African variant appeared for the first time in the district (one case). It is suspected of increased transferability, and there is also a suspicion of re-infection. Otherwise, the British variant is now responsible for a significant part of the new infections. Since the introduction of mandatory testing on February 11, there have been 601 registered cases of this variant - a little more than half of the new infections - and the proportion is increasing.

Furthermore, the following applies: The infection process is diffuse.

"It can still be observed that many families are affected," says the district office.

The clusters of the Gmund municipal council and asylum seekers' homes in Otterfing and Valley have played a smaller role in the past few days.

However, these are still affected.

Two new infections were reported here in the past two days, the quarantine remains.

+

Speaking of asylum seekers accommodation. As it is said from the district office, the willingness to vaccinate is very low there. There are a total of seven facilities in the district, whose residents are prioritized. A number of 25 or more residents is decisive for this. Vaccination in the facilities is currently underway. According to the district office, the planning is done by the mobile team in coordination with those responsible on site, such as integration officers. One facility was visited on Monday, and two are to follow next week. Then all the first vaccinations were done, it is said. In the two homes with outbreaks, the situation must first be monitored further. The district office does not give more precise figures. Some of the residents have already seen their family doctor and had a vaccination there.

As far as the refugees outside the facilities are concerned, the local integration officers are an important interface.

For example in Holzkirchen, where vaccination appointments were organized on the initiative of the helpers.

Sunday May 9: the incidence is now 137

The 7-day incidence in the county goes against the general trend and is increasing.

The Robert Koch Institute currently shows a 7-day incidence of 137.

On Friday the value was still 135. The district has moved a little further away from the threshold value of 100.

The district office will not publish infection numbers from the individual communities until Monday.

Friday, May 7th: Eight local councils in Gmund have now tested positive - beer gardens will also be closed next weekend (May 15th / 16th)

District - While other districts around Munich have long had a 7-day incidence of less than 100, the Miesbach district remains at a comparatively high level.

The value on Friday was 135, which means that "Click & Meet" is allowed again from this Saturday on (we reported), but there is still a long way to go before the next opening step.

The new infections since Tuesday alone add up to 102. A double-digit 7-day incidence is therefore not possible until Wednesday at the earliest, which means that the outdoor restaurants in the Miesbach district will open next weekend, i.e. 15/16.

May not be possible.

As is well known, the easing will only take effect when the district remains below the threshold value of 100 for five days in a row - and then only from the seventh day.

+

This applies from Saturday, May 8th, in the district

Meanwhile, elementary schools have a different status, and so from Monday, May 10th, children in grades one to three can also return to their facilities.

If a minimum distance of one and a half meters can be maintained, the whole class e may come, otherwise the schooling must take place in alternating lessons.

After-school care children are also allowed to return to their facilities.

Bavaria is based on the nationwide threshold of 165. For secondary schools, however, it remains at the 100 limit, so that nothing has changed here compared to the previous weeks.

+

Corona: Active cases in the communities on May 7th

© District Office Miesbach

What is apparently progressing quite well in the meantime is the subject of vaccination.

On Friday, the district office reported 34,811 people who had already received their first vaccination.

8340 of them even had their second appointment.

How many of them fall under the new regulation for fully vaccinated people - that is, received the second prick 14 days or more ago - is not entirely clear.

According to the district office, the software does not allow this evaluation.

It is also not possible to say what the vaccination rate looks like in the respective age groups.

The reason is that family doctors are now involved in vaccination.

A large contingent of doses has been announced for the vaccination center in Hausham for next week - namely 2290 Biontech and 500 Moderna.

According to the district office, about a quarter of it is used for second vaccinations.

Thursday, May 6th: Cluster municipal council lets Gmund numbers skyrocket

16 new active cases in two days: In Gmund, the municipal council meeting last week has developed into a real cluster (we reported here).

In today's update, the district office is also devoting itself to this case (for the wording see below).

It is currently not known how many people will have to be quarantined.

That will probably turn out tomorrow, it is said on request.

Meanwhile it is clear that from Saturday “Click and Meet” will be allowed again in retail.

Today, the county has an incidence of less than 150 for the fifth consecutive day.

+

These are the corona rules in the Miesbach district on May 6th.

© District Office Miesbach

Here is the wording of the Corona update on the Gmund case: “The still diffuse infection process in the district affects numerous individual families. In addition, a new cluster around a municipal council meeting in Gmund is currently preparing a lot of work for the health department and the contact tracing team. Already a third of the known attendees (8 of 24) tested positive for the coronavirus in retrospect. A participant's family is also already positive. Further follow-up infections are to be expected. The health department and the contact tracing team are working flat out to identify all contact persons.

Due to the accumulation of positive cases among the municipal councils, it can be assumed that one or more asymptomatic infected persons took part in the meeting.

The British mutation is probably responsible for the accumulation of cases.

+

All persons who did not have FFP2 mask protection for the duration of the session are classified as close contacts (KP 1) and must be in quarantine for 14 days from the session.

For those who have already tested positive (ST or PCR confirmed), quarantine applies for 14 days from the test date as prescribed.

Since the visitors sat far away from the local councils and probably wore FFP2 masks all the time, an infection seems unlikely.

In order to establish contact between all listeners and the health department as quickly as possible, they are asked to

Wednesday May 5th: Incidence continues to rise

The hope that the corona rules will be relaxed has moved a little further in the Miesbach district.

On Wednesday the Robert Koch Institute reported a 7-day incidence of 138. On Tuesday it was 130.

The district office announced 38 new infections.

Dienstag, 4.

+

Development of the 7-day incidence.

© District Office Miesbach

In order for the above-mentioned, noticeable easing, which the catering industry in particular is hoping, to take place, the district would have to permanently fall below the incidence of 100.

This could succeed if the number of new infections remains low and the high number of new infections from April 28th falls off the 7-day calculation from tomorrow.

The health department received 40 reports that day.

The next day 28.

With regard to the infection situation in the district, there is hardly any news, as the district office announced in its update yesterday: The largest infection clusters are already known, namely two asylum shelters in Otterfing and Valley and a larger cluster around childcare in the northern district.

"Unfortunately, other residents tested positive in both asylum shelters, so that twelve of the 60 residents in both facilities are currently quarantined in other facilities provided for this purpose," writes the authority.

The District Office became aware of six new cases today, and the 7-day incidence has fallen further, to 128. However, before “Click & Meet” is possible again, the value must be below 150 for five consecutive days, and the District Office must then make this known.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Markus Söder has announced openings for districts with an incidence below 100.

Something is also changing for elementary schools.

Sunday May 2nd: Incidence drops slightly, but still many active cases

The 7-day incidence in the Miesbach district fell over the weekend.

The RKI reported a value of 144 for Sunday. After the numbers had risen steadily for almost three weeks - from 82 (April 7th) to 174 (April 26th) - the district has had the longest breather in some time.

The next few days will tell whether you will initiate a trend reversal.

The number of active cases is meanwhile still high: 331 people in the district currently have a corona infection.

Even during the high phase of the second wave from November to January, there were usually fewer.

So there are still many viruses in circulation.

Friday April 30th: Incidence drops slightly

The 7-day incidence has fallen slightly: from 161 to 160. On Friday, the district office reported 15 new infections - 13 fewer than the day before.

Overall, the infection rate is moving downwards.

The vaccination rate in the district is now 30.07 percent.

Exactly 30,078 people or almost a third of the population have been vaccinated at least once so far.

72 people died of or with Corona.

Thursday, April 29th: Fake news about Biontech cans in Miesbach

From time to time the Miesbach district office feels compelled to clear up false news.

So now again.

On some messenger services, users would be asked by strangers to report their mobile phone number.

You could then get one of 300 Biontech cans that are stored in Miesbach and would otherwise be destroyed.

"This is fake news," emphasizes the district office.

Vaccination center manager Beate Faus says: “There are no vaccination doses left and none are thrown away.

There is no 'leftover ramp'. "

Mittwoch, 28. April: Verstorbene nachgemeldet, Zahl liegt nun bei 72

The district office registered a high number of new infections at 40 on Wednesday.

This is partly due to the cluster in a childcare facility in the north of the district (we reported).

In the asylum seeker accommodation in Otterfing, which has been affected for the fourth time, with 34 residents, no further infection has been found.

The quarantine has thus been lifted.

Not so in Valley (30 residents).

The quarantine remains here, further tests are in progress, as the district office reports.

Otherwise, the infection process continues to be diffuse.

Monday, April 26th: Infections in asylum shelters and childcare facilities in the northern district

The corona situation in the Miesbach district did not ease over the weekend - on the contrary.

The incidence has risen further to 174. Especially in the northern district, several sources of infection have emerged.

In addition, the new rules of the federal emergency brake will apply from tomorrow, as the incidence in the Miesbach district was over 150 for three days in a row.

Here is the statement from the district office in full:

Infektionsgeschehen in zwei Asylunterkünften

Freitag, 23. April: Nachtrag

At around 5:30 p.m., the Ministry of Health published the valid 7-day incidences.

For the district of Miesbach, it was decisive whether the authority uses the current value of 151 as a basis.

The text of the regulation would have given that.

Then from Saturday, twelve hours later, “Click & Meet” would have been banned in retail.

But the authority opted for the three-day rule.

Accordingly, the rules are only tightened if a district exceeds a certain threshold on three consecutive days.

For the time being, Miesbach is considered a district with a value of over 100. "

With yesterday's amendment to the 12th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, which was necessary because of the so-called "Federal Emergency Brake", this passage for the official announcement of the incidence value is no longer applicable.

Instead, the Ministry of Health will now announce the value that is relevant for schools and daycare centers today.

When that will happen is annoyingly beyond the knowledge of the district offices;

Interested parties should regularly consult the currently inaccessible website of the Ministry of Health.

Due to the clear value of 151 according to the RKI (clear because it is well above the previously applicable limit of 100), nothing is likely to change in the coming week.

Meanwhile, the infection rate in the district continues to increase.

The health department reported 29 new infections yesterday, a value above 20 on three consecutive days has not existed for a long time.

It is therefore also clear that the health department will determine a 7-day incidence of over 100 today, which means that next week nothing will change for the schools compared to this week.

Recently, the situation in the intensive care unit at the Agatharied hospital has worsened.

At the beginning of the week there were no more Covic-19 patients to be treated there, on Thursday there were three again.

All must be invasively ventilated.

Thursday, April 22nd: Age limit lifted, Astrazeneca for everyone

Mittwoch, 21. April: Landratsamt: „Testen soll die Inzidenz senken“

Wer viel testet findet viele Infizierte.

The series of tests in schools have meanwhile increased the 7-day incidence in the corresponding age group (we reported).

Children and young people are currently at the top nationwide, followed by the groups of working people who, depending on their workplace, have themselves regularly tested.

By discovering infected people at an early stage, chains of infection should not arise in the first place.

"If the paradigm shift in the test strategy from 'backward testing' to 'forward testing' succeeds, as many Asian countries are already doing, the incidence will decrease," writes the district office.

With "backward testing" is meant after laborious tracing of infection chains, that is, tracking down potentially infected people through contacts.

How many tests were taken in the county is unknown because there are many test sites in the county and only positive results need to be reported.

Meanwhile, there are figures for the district test center at the Miesbacher Oberlandhalle.

Between April 1 and April 19, 1,220 rapid tests were carried out there, only nine were positive.

The number of more reliable PCR tests was 1831, 35 of which were positive.

Together with other positive tests, the number of notifiable infected people in the period mentioned added up to 308.

Tuesday, April 20: Special vaccination campaign is apparently well received

The district office's Astrazeneca special vaccination campaign seems to have met with a broad response.

Yesterday, Tuesday, around 800 people registered for a vaccination within the first four hours.

As reported, 2000 doses of the vaccine are administered to people aged 60 and over at the Holzkirchen Middle School over the weekend, even without prioritization.

If you still want to make an appointment, you can do so at www.terminland.de/Sonder aktion_Astra.

Those willing to be vaccinated must, however, already be registered on the well-known portal www.impfzen tren.bayern.

The uncomplicated test offer by means of QR codes remains unchanged.

Most recently, the District Office had called on Teststelllen to participate in the system.

With success: there are now 29 stations in the district that are taking part.

You can see registered users on the website www.reihentestung.de.

According to the district office, there are other interested parties.

Monday April 19: Special vaccination campaign: Astrazeneca without prioritization, incidence at 132

As of now, initial vaccinations with Astrazeneca will no longer be carried out in the vaccination centers.

According to the district office, these are now exclusively taken over by general practitioners.

That is precisely why the appointments would have to be agreed on a separate platform.

Said additional registration on www.impfzentren.bayern is still necessary so that the vaccinations remain traceable.

The 7-day incidence for the Miesbach district was 132 on Monday. The health department announced six new infections with the corona virus.

Freitag, 16. April: Schulen unterrichten wieder aus der Ferne

District

- On Friday, the seven-day incidence for the Miesbach district is 129 according to the Robert Koch Institute. This means that from Monday, April 19, all students - except for the final classes - will return to distance learning.

The district office announced this in its Corona update.

Friday always counts as the deadline for the rules that apply from Monday and then for the whole week.

Distance teaching applies from an incidence of 100.

In the past week, 28 percent of the elementary and middle schools in the district were in face-to-face classes, which is allowed, provided the distances can be adhered to.

38 percent taught alternating classes.

The other schools organized mixed forms.

In the day care centers and crèches there is no longer any regular care, only emergency care.

The Ministry of Social Affairs determines who is entitled to it.

In addition, from next week there will also be a compulsory test at after-school care centers or similar care facilities.

However, this only leads to a change in the previous situation if the children and young people were not at school in the morning.

If they have proven a negative test there, they do not have to be tested again in the after-school care center.
