In 2018, still in Aubervilliers, a similar fire was caused by a 10-year-old child who was playing with a lighter and a tea towel. The tragedy had made four victims, including a 33-year-old pregnant mother. Her children, aged 18 months, 4 years and 6 years, had also perished in the flames. About 300 people had been evacuated and six residents transported to the emergency room.
