A crude murder case is currently being negotiated in Hesse.

Two men, one of them from Geretsried, are said to have committed a murder and sunk the body in Lake Starnberg.

Münsing

- In the summer of last year, riot police divers searched Lake Starnberg.

It was an extremely unusual mission: the specialists were supposed to find the remains of a corpse in the bay between St. Heinrich and Seeshaupt.

But the search ended with no result.

Daniel M. (39) from Hanau in Hesse disappeared, the plastic bucket set in concrete, which allegedly contained body parts, did not appear.

Therefore, a "murder trial without a corpse" is now being heard at the regional court in Giessen.

One of two defendants is Robert S. (40), who, according to press reports, grew up in Geretsried and is an IT specialist by profession.

Apparently a kidnapping failed

It is a cruel and confused story for which light should now come.

One thing is certain: the public prosecutor's office has brought charges against Robert S. and his friend Olaf C. (44) of collective murder and extortionate human theft resulting in death.

The authorities are convinced that they made common cause and kidnapped the well-known Daniel M. in order to extort money.

But something went wrong: The victim died without a ransom demand being made.

The Starnberg Lake as a possible place to dispose of the dismembered corpse is said to have occurred to Robert S.

After all, he had spent many years there.

He was there on the dive last year and was also cooperative.

But he didn't remember exactly.

The defendants accuse each other

For many years Daniel M. was only considered missing.

The missing person's case turned into a murder investigation when Olaf C., a teacher by profession, went to the police in May 2020 and accused his friend Robert S. of having shot the missing person.

The police then inspected the crime scene in Hungen, Hessen.

In fact, incriminating material was found, and Robert S. was arrested.

But the whistleblower was also targeted by the police.

Now both are in the dock.

They incriminated each other during interrogations by the police.

So far, however, only Olaf C. has commented on the person and the matter, in the presence of many of his former students who remember him as a good teacher and who are watching the process eagerly as spectators.

It's a bizarre spectacle.

It's about swinger clubs and brothels

In his remarks, Olaf C. presented himself as a victim of a psychopath - namely Robert S. He became friends with him when he was studying physics, they played roulette together and went to swinger clubs.

The third member of the group was Daniel M.

But at some point his Geretsried friend changed and became more and more sinister.

Among other things, he started obsessively thinking about kidnapping in order to get big money.

On the day of the tattoo, the trio was said to be on their way to Hungen to see if a property was suitable for starting a swingers club.

Then you got back in the car.

From the driver's seat he had to experience how Robert S. shot his mutual friend with a silenced pistol.

Then he was forced by the perpetrator to hide the body and clean the car.

From then on he lived in constant fear of this "stubborn psychopath and sadist".

He only kept in contact with his former friend in order to find out more and to be able to report him.

At some point he couldn't stand the situation anymore and went to the police.

So it can be read in the Gießener Allgemeine Zeitung, which follows the process.

A protracted circumstantial process threatens

The public prosecutor in Gießen is preparing for a lengthy circumstantial process.

More than 20 days of negotiations are planned, 75 witnesses and seven experts are to be heard.

It remains to be seen whether Robert S. breaks his silence.

Perhaps Daniel M.'s body will be found in Lake Starnberg after all.
