Tonight (Monday), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to the death of Yigal Yehoshua, a resident of Lod who was seriously injured in the head injury during a riot in Lod several days ago.

He shared in the grief of his family and promised: "We will come to terms with everyone who participated in this murder. No one will escape punishment."

President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin also paid tribute to Joshua: "The mind does not comprehend how the life of a giving man, loved by all and devoted to his family, was cut short. The law will be exhausted with each and every one of these horrific murders."

Joshua, 56, was hit in the head a few days ago when he was attacked by Arab rioters, and was taken to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in critical condition.

The staff of the General Intensive Care Unit has been fighting for his life ever since, but today he was pronounced dead.

According to the hospital announcement, his family agreed to donate his organs.

At the same time, the police announced that the investigation into the death of Joshua Belinch had become a murder investigation.

Preliminary investigation specifications indicate that Yigal was murdered after returning from an incident in which he participated outside Lod.

During his journey back to his home, near the Ganei Aviv neighborhood in Lod, he was brutally attacked by a group of Arab rioters.

The lynching took place last Monday, when relatively small forces were operating in the area and at the same time many police officers were engaged in the scene of the rocket fall in Rishon Lezion.

The details of the investigation show that Joshua was first stoned to death when he hit his head while driving his car.

After the stone hit him, he stopped the vehicle - and then, according to the investigation, dozens of Arab rioters jumped on him and hit him with stones, sticks and other objects.

It also appears that Yigal tried to evade the rioters and after being stopped with his vehicle due to the massive stone-throwing, he managed in no way a way to escape and continue driving with his vehicle for a few more hundred meters.

There he stopped his vehicle and collapsed.

People who were at the scene noticed him and called the rescue forces.
