On an area of 4500 square meters in Burggen, four building plots between 1064 and 447 square meters in size are being identified in the course of urban densification.

The area is owned by two castle generals.

An investor from Schongau shows great interest in this area.

He wants to build 24 apartments there.

The project has so far failed due to resistance from local residents.

Burggen

- The plot of land for a planned construction project in Burggen is locally located in the center of the village near St. Anna-Straße.

Annegret Micheler is responsible for the planning.

The architect from Kaufbeuren specializes in interior development.

According to the specifications, three single and one double houses are permitted on the site.

The farm that is still standing there remains, but is being converted and expanded.

Architect Anita Streit is responsible for its renovation.

It should be a "warm tone"

For the planned double and the three single houses, gable roofs with an incline of between 22 and 26 degrees are required.

Red tiles are specified for the roof covering.

“It should be a warm tone,” said Burggen's Mayor Josef Schuster at the latest municipal council meeting when it came to the construction project.

Windows and doors should always be made of wood and painted in wood color or white.

Shutters should be left to the builder to choose from.

Local councilor Richard Lang thinks "of the village character".

Dormer windows with a roof pitch of less than 30 degrees are not permitted.

Outer walls are plastered and painted white.

Restless plaster structures are not allowed.

Areas for garages, carports and parking spaces must be proven on their own land within the building boundaries and the building limits marked for them.

Native deciduous and fruit trees

Ancillary systems in the rear area of the property are also permitted outside the fixed construction windows.

Ancillary facilities facing the street must be within the specified building limit.

And as far as the green area is concerned, private areas are to be designed as lawns, perennials or woody plants.

At least three native, locally appropriate deciduous trees and four fruit trees of the local variety are to be planted professionally for each area of use.

The paved open spaces, driveways and parking spaces in the building areas and in the green areas are to be designed with infiltratable surfaces.

Development plan clears first hurdle

With the approval resolution that has now been passed by the local council, the development plan “Burgweg 4” has cleared the first hurdle.

Next, the 34 public sector bodies will be asked to give their opinion.

This is followed by the public display of the development plan, where citizens can raise concerns or make further suggestions about the development plan.

By the way: It was recently the last meeting of the Burggen municipal council, which was chaired by Josef Schuster as the incumbent mayor of Burggen.

The next day he was released from all duties as mayor, a new election will follow (we have reported about it).
