A habitual wandering offender in Shau Kei Wan peeped at the male neighbor using the toilet through the transom of the unit in the corridor. A 69-year-old man was arrested.

A reporter from "Hong Kong 01" inspected the Faculty of China Building and found that the bathroom transom faces the corridor, and most residents only partially cover the transom, which makes it easy for people to sneak in.

The incident occurred at about 10 pm yesterday (17th) when a male guest surnamed Mai (69 years old) of Ming Wah Building on A Kung Ngam Road reportedly spied another 56-year-old male neighbor through the transom of his unit in the corridor.

It is understood that the unit’s bathroom transom faces the corridor. When the victim was using the toilet, he was surprised to see a hand reaching in, so he immediately rushed out of the corridor to check and saw a suspected neighbor escaping.

A wooden stool was left in the corridor.

The police rushed to investigate and found Mai Nan at the entrance of the stairs. He was arrested on suspicion of "loitering" and handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of the Eastern District Police District to take over and follow up.

It is reported that Mai Nan has many wandering records.
