Gmund
- Not a few people vent their anger in letters to the editor and in social networks about the corona infections in the

It is often assumed here that this cluster is responsible for the enormously high 7-day incidence in the district.
According to information from the district office, this is not the case.
24 infections could be assigned to the cluster.
Corona outbreak after Gmund municipal council meeting: Twelve participants and another twelve relatives infected
Twelve people were infected at the meeting, the others belong to the family environment of the meeting participants.
Even if it hadn't been for the session, the incidence in the county wouldn't have fallen below 100 - especially not for the five days required.
Critics of Gmund's behavior also ask whether acting too carelessly has no consequences.
More likely.
But: The district office has initiated a municipal legal examination of the municipal council meeting in Gmund.
"This examines the extent to which applicable regulations have been violated and what consequences this entails," writes the authority in its update.
In the meantime, it is striking: In Gmund, the number of active cases has recently been very high.
It has risen again since Thursday to 71 (previously: 59).
District office Miesbach has any rule violations checked - infection rates can be traced back to mutation
The District Office on this: “The other new infections in Gmund cannot be assigned to any direct cluster events.
Rather, the high number of new infections in the community area shows how easily the virus and its mutations can be transmitted. ”Currently, the so-called British variant is predominant, and whole families can be affected very quickly in the event of a single infection.
An expert nevertheless considers the spread of the British variant to be good.
