Cham Wings Airlines has resumed operating its direct flights from Damascus to Basra in Iraq at the rate of one flight per week after an interruption that lasted for more than a year.
According to a company statement, SANA received a copy of it, the first flight took off from Damascus International Airport on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 17:30 Damascus local time, and arrived at Basra International Airport at 19.20 Basra time, and the flight returned directly from Basra International Airport to Damascus International Airport with 127 passengers on board .
The statement indicated that the move to return flights will contribute to encouraging air transport, trade and tourism exchange, for the benefit of both brotherly countries.
It is noteworthy that Cham Wings Airlines continues to operate its direct flights to Basra and vice versa throughout the next season on a regular basis.
