Restaurateurs and guests have longed for it for a long time: the first mug of beer, the first meal in the restaurant's garden.

A tour through Wolfratshausen.

Wolfratshausen

- The beer gardens were closed for over half a year. Accordingly, the hosts and guests are delighted that the taps in the district have been able to be turned on again since Friday. So the beer garden of the rafting company filled up quickly on the weekend, despite the occasional cloudiness. Prerequisites were a reservation by telephone, proof of a current negative Corona test result or a two-fold vaccination.

Tasso Lasidis and Cem Acikbas gladly took on these hurdles in order to secure two of the 160 places on Saturday afternoon. “The beer tastes like freedom,” said Lasidis, relieved. He was surprised that the outdoor catering was opened so late. Rafting owner Dominik Tabak sees it similarly. “The long closing time hit our operators hard,” he explained. They especially missed the tip because the short-time allowance didn't help much. Tobacco now hopes that it will soon be able to open the interior again. “We need that for sensible planning,” he revealed. After all, before the corona-related closure on November 2, 2020, the rafting was an important meeting place for clubs, parties and families.

The “Burger House” on Sauerlacher Strasse, which only opened on May 7th, had comparatively little rush. The successor to the “Frühlingsgarten” and “Flamingo” farms has a partially covered beer garden, but has yet to attract regular customers. The first guests especially liked the informal atmosphere. "The people in Wolfratshausen are very nice and all stick to the rules," commented managing director Esad Balic with satisfaction.

Just a stone's throw away, Andrea Holl reopened the free bar area of her “Event Bistro” on Mayor-Grünwald-Weg next to the S-Bahn station on Friday. Although she was able to celebrate the reopening with many guests under the given regulations, she still misses some of her regular customers. "For some, the test runs are just too cumbersome," she explained about the decline.

An almost euphoric mood, on the other hand, was noticeable at the Wolfratshauser Bahnhofkiosk.

The adjoining snack garden there, where taxi and bus drivers take a coffee break, also had to remain closed for a long time.

On Saturday, tenant Dani Eder and her regular guests proudly presented their negative test results.

The songs of joy, intoned to loud music, could still be heard clearly from a distance of over 100 meters.

"Oh, how nice it is: It was high time", Kiosk employee Vico Kaufmann greeted the long-awaited opening.
