For sports halls, amusement parks, indoor restaurants ... you have to wait (again) until June 9

2021-05-20T18:32:55.320Z

Despite the reopening on Wednesday of many shops or places of culture, closed for months, Wednesday, May 19 is far from marking a return to normal.

From Wednesday, the French will once again be able to taste the pleasures of a drink on the terrace, an exhibition at the museum, a cinema screening, or even a shopping session.

If this May 19 marks an “important” step towards a return to a more normal life, it will be necessary to wait another three weeks at least to resume with other activities (and small pleasures!).

Back on what awaits the French from June 9, and on what does not change for the moment.

Bars and restaurants: rooms inaccessible for another three weeks

If the bars and restaurants can once again welcome customers on the terrace from Wednesday, this will not yet be possible indoors. We will have to wait for that on June 9. In addition, given the health rules from Wednesday - no more than 6 per table, 50% of the capacity - some restaurateurs have already chosen to wait for the next stage of deconfinement, on June 9. . This is the case for example of the media chief Philippe Etchebest who announced Sunday in the JDD that he will not reopen his service on the terrace on Wednesday.

At that time, however, it will be possible to linger as the curfew will be postponed to 11 p.m.

Finally, June 30th should look like a virtual return to normal for the activity of bars and restaurants: no more limit of gauge, reception on terraces and indoors.

But it will still not be possible to consume and be served at the bar.

Telecommuting: no rule change

If the employees of shops, cultural places or restaurants will return to their workplace on Wednesday, this will not be the case for teleworking employees who will in principle have to wait until June 9. Even if in fact the ministry has already observed a more significant face-to-face return since the reopening of schools, in principle, teleworking remains, for another 3 weeks, the rule for all the activities that allow it, in accordance with the health protocol in business.

From June 9, this mode of organization must be relaxed "

in conjunction with the social partners at company level

", Emmanuel Macron said.

According to the Ministry of Labor, teleworking will continue to be recommended and a minimum number of teleworking days will have to be defined within each company, via social dialogue.

If there is no agreement, it will be up to the company to set the number of days, in accordance with a new health protocol.

Sports halls: amateurs still have to wait

If minors can return to the gyms and swimming pools from Wednesday, May 19 (schoolchildren have already resumed swimming), fans of running, bodybuilding and group lessons must still wait three weeks to find their gym. , closed since October.

The sanitary protocol that will apply in these places should broadly resume the rules that applied before the closure, last September: marking on the ground, ventilation of the premises, limited changing rooms, regular disinfection of equipment ... The mask should not be made compulsory during sports practice.

Amusement parks: gradual reopening in June

If the zoos or aquarium can reopen this Wednesday, it will be necessary to wait until June to return to the amusement parks. After more than seven months of closure due to Covid-19, Parc Astérix and Futuroscope will reopen on June 9, followed by Disneyland Paris which will restart on June 17. The Vendée amusement park of Puy du Fou will reopen four days a week from June 10.

This recovery will be done according to a very strict sanitary protocol.

For Disneyland Paris, it will be necessary to comply with the rules of physical distancing in the attractions and the queues, and to wear the mask from the age of six.

Access to Parc Astérix will be by reservation only, wearing a mask will be compulsory from 11 years old and you will also have to stay 2.5 meters from your neighbor in the queues for the attractions.
