The post of the Catholic Bishop of the Hong Kong Diocese has been suspended since the death of the former Bishop Yang Mingzhang in January 2019. The Vatican officially appointed Zhou Shouren, the President of the Society of Jesuits of China and the supervisor of the Huaren School of Education, as the new bishop of the Catholic Hong Kong Diocese yesterday (17th).
