Frankfurt's Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann has passed the baton to the following host cities: to Stuttgart, where the 102nd Catholic Day will take place from May 25 to 29, 2022, and to Nuremberg as the venue for the 38th German Evangelical Church Congress from June 7 to 11, 2023 .

Mayor Marcus König had received the baton when his Frankfurt counterpart Peter Feldmann visited Nuremberg, as the city of Nuremberg announced in a message.
The handover was recorded and broadcast on the ÖKT live stream.
There is also a film from the city in which Marcus König called for a visit to the Kirchentag in Nuremberg, and a film by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and the German Evangelical Kirchentag with a preview of the major event in Franconia in 2023.

Heinrich Bedford-Strohm was invited to the Kirchentag in Nuremberg for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria.
