The corona easing is progressing slowly.

For example, if the incidence value remains below 100, the outdoor swimming pools and mountain railways should also be allowed to reopen from May 21.

But how?

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - At what point in the Tölzer Land you can refresh yourself with a dip in the cool water on hot days or enjoy the wonderful summit panorama without a sweaty climb, has not yet been conclusively determined. Because: Although there is a bright spot on May 21st - only the operators have not yet known anything more precise about the state corona requirements and hygiene framework conditions in order to be able to receive guests. "We are still totally in the air," says Jörg Findeisen, operator of the Herzogstandbahn in Kochel. “So far we don't know which requirements we have to meet.” Everything has been prepared for an opening since November 15, 2020. “Actually, we only need to turn the key, but I can do that on May 21 not yet say. "

Mountain railways and outdoor swimming pools are waiting for government guidelines to open

The summer toboggan runs on Blomberg have been open for a few weeks.

“Both the Blomberg Classic and the Blomberg Blitz.

Just not the cable car, ”says operator Hannes Zintel.

He is also in the starting blocks to put the mountain railway into operation at the end of next week.

"I sincerely hope for government regulations that are also practicable for us." Stomach ache gives him the idea of having to check every guest whether they have recovered, been vaccinated or tested.

"We can transport 500 people per hour, which means I would have to check that at eight people per minute, it just doesn't work," explains the mountain railway operator.

"We are in the air"

Peter Lorenz, operator of the Brauneck mountain railways, looks forward to an opening on the planned date with confidence. "We are so shaken that we are doing everything we can to be able to open on May 21st." One thing has also been certain so far, namely that the hygiene requirements of the previous season will apply again this year. “The only thing that is not clear is what will be added. So far we only know that there will be a specific concept at the beginning of next week, ”reports Lorenz. Despite all the optimism, he also hopes for “practicable guidelines”. Because finally being able to receive guests again is urgently needed for all Bavarian mountain railways. "We have already been pissed off that the different handling in Austria and Bavaria might cause some guests to leave," he says. "Nobody can understand that anymorethat at Tegernsee, for example, everything is different than a few kilometers further on at Achensee. And when everything is less complicated there, then it is clear where the tourists and day trippers are going, ”he says annoyed. “That hits us hard in a border region, of course. If so, the same rules of the game must apply to everyone. "

For the Eichenmühle natural swimming pool, Reinhard Oberleitner from the Bad Tölz public utility company said on request: “We have no government guidelines whatsoever.

We are waiting for the next cabinet meeting, ”he says.

Tobias Riesch, the manager of the municipality of Lenggries, has so far only received the announcement from the press about a possible opening from May 21st.

“Basically we want to open up,” he says with a view of the Lenggries natural swimming pool.

"If the conditions are similar to last year's, then we want to open." According to Riesch, it is still open whether this can be implemented punctually on May 21.

“We are currently renovating the sanitary facilities.

We hope to be finished with it in May, ”he explains.

"We are motivated and happy"

An opening at the outdoor pool in Arzbach? "We are motivated and ready and happy," said Brigitte Pirchmoser from the Alpenbad Arzbach. Nevertheless, she too will have to wait and see what comes out of the next cabinet meeting. “If the conditions are like last year, then we'll open.” Preparations are also under way in the Benediktbeuern Alpine Warming Pool. This was announced on the community's Facebook page in late April. Those responsible hope that the bathing season can start in a few weeks. Meanwhile, the Kristall-Therme Trimini in Kochel am See is announcing on its Facebook page that it is looking forward to reopening soon. "We assume that it won't be too long before you can bathe again in our comfortably warm pool, enjoy a fruity cocktail or experience a health-promoting infusion",stands there. An opening from May 21st is not planned.
