The Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, had raised the question of the wearing of the compulsory mask outdoors last Monday, indicating that this measure could be reviewed if the numbers of the epidemic continued to fall.

Given the significant and continuous improvement in the epidemiological situation, the prefect of Seine-et-Marne repeals the obligation to wear a mask outdoors as of Wednesday, May 19.

However, this repeal does not affect the other mask-wearing obligations set by decree 2020-1310 of October 29: public transport, schools, supermarkets, etc.
