The advance of the ruling party to reform the Public Ministry generated a strong reaction from Together for Change and also reactivated the
internal ones on the strategy
to try to stop the sanction of the law.
During the virtual meeting of the national table and in the following hours there were
invoice passes and crossed accusations
between referents of the opposition coalition, prior to a new meeting this Wednesday.
One of the axes of discussion revolved around the differences at the time of supporting the
statement of Daniel Rafecas
, the candidate for the Attorney General of Alberto Fernández and whose treatment never started in the Senate.
The members of the Civic Coalition reproached not having followed Elisa Carrió's idea of expressing herself in favor of her nomination, to expose the contradiction within the Government and, according to that perspective, to avoid another name more akin to Cristina Kirchner.
“It was a solution.
And due to a
personal position
of a few of the PRO, he did not come out, ”a trusted leader of Carrió pointed out to Mauricio Macri and Patricia Bullrich, the two exponents of the hard wing, less inclined to accept an agreement with the ruling party.
“The Rafecas sheet entered the
permanent fight within power.
If Alberto Fernández had wanted to have a Procurator, he would have had one.
His lack of personality ends up making Cristina Fernández de Kirchner prevail.
The hearings did not even start ”, replied Bullrich, in response to the Head of State –who argued the progress of the reform due to the lack of support from Together for Change- and at the same time to the inmate itself.
“In the Civic Coalition we are concerned about the
lack of strategy in the opposition
, it costs a lot to contribute because some are only looking for a personal position.
They record little about how to lead this situation to a reasonable place ”, questioned Juan López, head of the block of the space founded by Carrió.
There were also cartel disputes over the initiative to stop the project, criticism of those who "go quickly to the television channels" and
"a lot of anger"
with the members who sought to establish as already defined that Together for Change would not endorse the postponement of the PASO and the general ones in case the reform of the Public Ministry advances.
"Some argued that it
would make noise to vote with the ruling party
in this context, but it is not resolved," agreed several members.
On that point, the discussion arose again about accepting the Government's proposal or exposing itself to the possible suspension of the primaries, a tool that the opposition coalition needs to eventually resolve the struggles for the candidacies in key districts such as Capital, Buenos Aires and Córdoba.
"
Everything can get complicated
, we agreed to wait for the plenary session on Tuesday and then decide," said a PRO leader.
The national table will meet again on Wednesday, before the session in which Deputies will discuss the reform of the electoral law.
Differences over strategy included the
degree of pressure on MPs
who could collaborate with the quorum.
The opponents reviewed the numbers and names in detail, some like Omar de Marchi proposed to make them visible and others rejected it.
"
We cannot fall into an escrache
, that can play against us," was the argument.
Some interpreted it as a pretext for not exposing that legislators joined Juntos por el Cambio and left the interblock, such as Pablo Ansaloni, Felipe Álvarez and Antonio Carambia.
The cross distrust in the previous to the definitions by the candidacies was in turn reflected in a color data: again they
did not disseminate a photo
of the virtual meeting, with the resentments still latent for that image of Macri in the room, at the end of March.
