University Film Week, hosted by the Grand Amphitheater of the College of Arts and Human Sciences at Al-Baath University in Homs, offers student cinema enthusiasts modern Syrian films produced during a time of war.

Ali Hammadi, head of the Student Union branch at Al-Baath University, assured to SANA the importance of this cultural cinematic week as it allows students to watch the most important Syrian films, which contributes to spreading the culture of cinema among students.

In turn, Ghaith Al-Saleh, head of the artistic and cultural activity office at the Student Union branch, said that the University Cinema Week is an annual tradition that the Students ’Union seeks to support and provide the branches with the most important cinematic films for Syrian directors to inform our youth about the Syrian cinematic production, especially during the time of war, pointing out that the blood of al-Nakhl film is a documentary work. The task that students must watch.

Student Zeina Eid considered that University Cinema Week is one of the cultural and social events that present cinematic performances that she could not see during her presentation, as well as increasing our culture, awareness and understanding of reality.

Student Mohi al-Din al-Muhammad described the film Blood of Nakhl as one of the most beautiful shows that young people can watch to keep in their memory the crimes of terrorism and what they did in Palmyra, its people and its archaeological world, and to remain aware of what is happening around us, considering that the world of cinema is one of the artistic and cultural realms necessary for human beings.
