Moosburg

- Obsolete, inefficient, energy-hungry and harmful to the climate: heating systems from the past century are a burden for the environment and your own wallet.

In Germany, old heating systems still account for 40 percent of energy consumption.

In private households, around 85 percent of the energy is used for heating and hot water.

A lot of valuable energy that is simply being lost because the technology is not up to date.

Modern boilers, on the other hand, are cleaner, more economical and more comfortable.

This protects the environment and saves up to 1000 euros in heating costs every year.

That is why the federal government has created new funding opportunities.

If you replace your old heating system, you get a lot of money.

In addition, the city of Moosburg is now looking for and rewarding the oldest oil boiler that is still in permanent operation and will be replaced by renewable energies by the end of 2022.

1000 euros main prize

The main prize is 1000 euros, for the other places there is a scrapping bonus between 750 and 250 euros. Upon request, all winners will receive a free “heating” suitability check from the consumer center worth 250 euros. An energy expert from the consumer center determines and assesses the savings potential of the heating system and the building envelope as well as the suitability of the house for the use of renewable energies. And the Moosburg company Citrin Solar is giving the first three winners a free collector when purchasing a solar thermal system.

The city has set the following deadlines for participation: The application must be made between May 8th and the end of September 2021, the implementation or replacement of the old heating system by the end of 2022. Another condition for participation is that the oil heating in Moosburg is still in operation and fully or partially used to heat living areas.

Only functional series models that are permanently in operation are permitted, i.e. no self-builds, second devices or the like.

The year of manufacture is decisive for assessing the age.

If several heaters of the same age are submitted, the winner will be decided by lot.

The winners must then properly dispose of their old equipment and completely replace it with renewable energies.
