Pipinsried - The Pipinsried Kindergarten celebrates its 30th anniversary on May 21st - in the form of a corona-compliant May Festival.
With the anniversary, the era of the kindergarten director Theresia Ernst will come to an end. After 34 years of kindergarten she will be adopted into well-deserved retirement. In 1987 she was employed by Mayor Anton Hofberger for the Altomünster kindergarten "Kleine Strolche", where she led the group "Maus". After this kindergarten was bursting at the seams at the time, the community decided to build another kindergarten in the lower room of the former Pipinsried school - with Theresia Ernst as director.
The local youth group and the parish council had cleared the space for the children as they were just about to turn the old parish hall into a parish home.
Since then, the kindergarten and the Pipinsried musicians, who are on the upper floor, have lived together as a happy house community.
The beginning of the kindergarten was not easy, because there were concerns about who, besides the Pipinsriedern, would also use the kindergarten.
But despite all concerns, the house has always been well attended by the children over the years.
The fact that everything went so well was due not only to the team, but also to the parents, who were always on hand when it was necessary.
The somewhat dark and cramped former school room was able to gain a lot of airiness and lightness by adding a winter garden.
Over the years, the garden has been refurbished again and again with the play equipment, small wooden houses for the tools for the garden and plenty of seating for the festivities that have been celebrated over the course of the three decades.

"It was a mutual give and take and, above all, a wonderful togetherness," said Theresia Ernst once, describing the parents simply as reliable partners who never let them down with all the work.
“We were always a part of the place”, she found - involved in all the circumstances and festivities and in good contact with the clubs.
Over the years, Theresia Ernst was always happy when she was allowed to look after the children of her first children.
Her protégés were always very inquisitive, as demonstrated by the many awards the kindergarten has received in 30 years - three times as "Little Researchers".
As the pastor Paul Riesinger had stated during the 25th anniversary: “The children surprise every day with their spontaneity, honesty and unconstrained nature.” And that was precisely what Theresia Ernst and her staff always valued so much and loved about the children, their openness and curiosity and also the trust that was always placed in them.
But also the trust of the parents and their support in all areas.
They would like to thank you very much for this.
The anniversary celebration
On Friday, May 21st, the party will take place in the Pipinsried kindergarten from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the parents.
If the weather cooperates, the party is outside and the children want to set up their little maypole in the garden.
