Lebanese President Michel Aoun asked the Lebanese Parliament to decide on the issue of assigning the formation of the new government, pointing out that the president in charge of forming it is unable to form a government capable of saving Lebanon and that the negative effects of the delay in forming were not limited to the regularity of the work of the constitutional authorities, but withdrew to political stability and health and social security And the economic and financial in Lebanon.

Aoun said in a message he sent today to Parliament through Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, more than six and a half months after Saad Hariri was appointed to form the government: “It has become evident that the designated president is incapable of forming a government capable of salvation and meaningful communication with foreign financial institutions and funds. International and donor countries to set up aid programs that would save the country that is bleeding dearly at all levels, and it still captures authorship after commissioning and perpetuates it, as it captures the people and the government and takes them together as a hostage driven to the abyss, ignoring every reasonable time limit for composing.

Aoun pointed out that the President-designate "insists, until now, not to present a government formation that enjoys our agreement and with which the confidence required by the House of Representatives is available in accordance with the constitutional text, as well as his interruption of conducting the necessary parliamentary consultations with the various parliamentary blocs."

Aoun stressed that “there is no way in which to adhere to the due and customary approach in forming governments in accordance with the provisions of the constitution,” indicating that “in his capacity as President of the Republic, he is entrusted not only with respecting the principles of the government’s formation mechanism, but also on the need to secure confidence in it in the House of Representatives.”

President Aoun requested that his message be discussed in the General Assembly of the Representative Council in accordance with the rules and “taking the appropriate position, action, or decision regarding it for the benefit of the people” who is waiting for his new government with great care and hopes for it, starting from the realization of his most basic rights to the complete and sustainable security they aspire to at the level. all.

The Lebanese presidency had confirmed earlier that President Aoun had nothing to do with the reasons for the delay in forming the new government, noting that selecting ministers, naming them and distributing them to ministerial portfolios is not an exclusive right of the prime minister based on the Lebanese constitution, and that the Baabda palace is still waiting for the prime minister in charge of a government proposal to come to him.
