The Hong Kong and Kowloon Federation of Labor Associations went to petition outside the government headquarters in the morning to urge the government to optimize the draft of the statutory holidays and complete the standardization of statutory holidays within three years.
Lin Zhensheng, chairman of the Federation of Labor Unions, said that 30% of employees now only take 12 days of labor leave a year, which is 5 days less than those who take public holidays. He urges the government to harmonize labor and public holidays as soon as possible so that all employees in Hong Kong can enjoy 17 days of holiday a year.

Lin Zhensheng and three union representatives went to the government headquarters to petition, chanting slogans such as "bearing for 22 years" and "equal rights without delay", and submitted a petition letter to representatives of the Labor and Welfare Bureau.
Regarding the government's statement that it will not be able to standardize the holidays until 2030, Lin Zhen claimed that the standardization of holidays was one of the top ten livelihood measures announced by the government last year, and emphasized why the government considers the incident to be a major event and it takes ten years to complete.
Lin Zhensheng also pointed out that in many industries such as clerical jobs, even if employees take an extra 5 days off each year, employers do not need to find someone to replace them, and the overall labor cost will not increase significantly. He emphasized that the government has the conditions to implement the plan as soon as possible.
He pointed out that Pan Zhaoping, a member of the industry's legislative council, will propose amendments to increase the three holidays of Buddha's Birthday, Christmas and Easter, and implement the plan within three years.
