A 17-year-old young man was killed by stabbing on Tuesday in Champigny-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) in "circumstances which remain to be established", AFP indicates citing police sources, information confirmed by the Créteil parquet.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested shortly after in Seine-et-Marne, said one of the police sources.
The events took place in the Clos des Perroquets residence.
Around 6:40 p.m., "a witness saw a group of young people fleeing and a person remaining on the ground", details a police source.
The victim was "fatally injured by stabbing, in circumstances which remain to be established," she adds.
At this stage, investigators do not yet know if it is "a brawl between gangs of young people" or a settling of scores between two people, adds another police source.
The victim presents "a wound close to the heart", specifies the same source.
The judicial police of Val-de-Marne is in charge of the investigation
