Citizens registered for the Corona vaccine will receive, through the online platform designated for this, messages specifying the date and place of vaccination, respectively, according to priorities set by the Ministry of Health.

On its Facebook page, the Ministry of Health published photos of the vaccination process for citizens who received these messages in various governorates, stressing that the vaccine is free and its priority is after medical personnel for the elderly and people with chronic diseases.

Assistant Director of Damascus Health, Dr. Ahmed Habas, confirmed in a statement to SANA the importance of receiving the Corona vaccine, especially for those with chronic diseases and the elderly, to protect them from infection, as they may suffer from more serious complications in the event of infection.

Habas pointed out that the person wishing to take the vaccine should consult his doctor and inform the person responsible for the vaccination if he suffers from any kind of allergy or a specific health condition before taking the vaccine.

Dr. Habas stated that in the event that the person registered through the online platform is unable to attend to take the vaccine, he will be given a new date, stressing the need to adhere as much as possible to the specified date for taking the vaccine.

Dr. Habas indicated that the Ministry of Health has prioritized giving the vaccine to high-risk groups, beginning with health personnel, then the elderly from the age of 55 and over, in addition to those with chronic diseases, “asthma, kidney disease, diabetes, liver disease, heart disease, hypertension, epilepsy and those suffering from psychological disorders or history Drug or food allergy.
