The branch of the Syrian Foundation for Grains in Deir Ezzor has completed all preparations to receive the wheat season for the year 2021, starting from 05-27-2021.
The director of the establishment’s branch, Eng. Adeeb Rakad, stated in a statement to SANA’s correspondent that two permanent centers have been prepared to receive wheat from farmers in the western and eastern countryside of the governorate, in addition to three centers for purchase and direct shipment, in order to facilitate the receipt of the crop from farmers.
Al-Rakad indicated that the corporation has taken all measures to receive the wheat according to what was approved by the Agricultural Sub-Council, in terms of preparing the open yards to receive the contaminated grains, calibrating the domes, preparing laboratories and secret rooms, forming specialized committees, in addition to self-protection measures such as networks, tanks and tractors for firefighting, pointing out that the branch has started selling The bags are for farmers to pack their crops, provided that their value will be returned to the farmer with the invoice.
In turn, the Director of the Agricultural Bank in Deir Al-Zor, Eng. Bassam Al-Kusairi, indicated that the branch is ready to disburse the values of wheat to farmers within a period not exceeding 24 hours from the date of delivery of the crop and the amount of 900 thousand pounds per ton for the wheat received at the grain centers and the amount of one million and 50 thousand pounds per ton for the crops contracted with Seed Multiplication Foundation.
The head of the Peasants' Union in Deir Al-Zour Khazan Al-Sahw explained that the wheat agricultural season for this year is very promising, and the government has provided all facilities for farmers to market their crops, and a fair price for wheat has been presented, calling on all farmers to market their crops at the Syrian grain centers.
It is noteworthy that the area planted with wheat in the entire Deir Ezzor governorate is about 29,460 hectares.
