A fire broke out in a stone house in Fairy Maotai Village, Wong Tai, and the police classified it as an arson case.
This (19th) morning, the police and firefighters received reports from mountain hikers that a stone house in Maolai Village was on fire on Shatin Pass Road facing Tsz Wan Shan.
The fire department classified the incident as a second-degree fire and dispatched a jet and a breathing apparatus team to fight the blaze.
Sources at the scene stated that the flaming stone house was full of debris. A mother-in-law went to the site for morning transport every day, but she was not seen today. She was worried that she was affected by the fire. Fortunately, after searching, it was determined that no one was injured in the fire and there was no need to evacuate.
Initial investigations believed that the cause of the fire was suspicious, and the police classified the case as an arson.
