Andrew Giuliani: As governor, he will cut taxes and fight crime, he announced

Rudy Giuliani, former New York Mayor and lawyer for Donald Trump, was recently targeted by US investigators because of numerous political affairs.
Now his son Andrew Giuliani is also making headlines in the USA.
He has announced that he wants to become governor of New York.
“I was born a politician.
It's in my DNA, "said the 35-year-old, who had previously worked as an advisor to former US President Trump, among other things, in an interview with the New York Post.
As Republican governor, he would cut taxes and fight crime, promised Giuliani.
Giuliani was confident of winning his party's gubernatorial primaries next year and then challenging Democratic incumbent Andrew Cuomo.
The next gubernatorial election in New York will then take place in November 2022.
The state of New York elects predominantly democratically, the last time between 1995 and 2006 was a Republican governor with George Pataki.

Cuomo under pressure over harassment allegations
Governor Cuomo, who has been in office since 2011, has come under heavy pressure in recent months.
If he was celebrated as a hero in spring 2020 because of his decisive action against the corona pandemic, he was later chalked up with serious mistakes, especially in dealing with old people's home residents.
There were also allegations of sexual harassment against female employees.
"I know that we can defeat Andrew Cuomo in 2022," Giuliani told the New York Post.
"I'm going to be the 57th governor of New York."
His father Rudy Giuliani recently hit the headlines again: At the end of April, investigators from the US Federal Police (FBI) searched the 76-year-old's apartment and office on suspicion of having engaged in illegal lobbying for Ukrainian customers in the United States.
Giuliani rejects the allegations.
