One of the kidneys of Yigal Yehoshua, who was killed in the riots in Lod and was pronounced dead this evening (Tuesday), was transplanted into the body of Randa, a 58-year-old resident of Beit Safafa, at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

Sheerin and Nivin, Randa's daughters, thanked his family, expressed grief over his death and condemned the violence that led to it.

"We are not in favor of disturbances, and not at all in favor of the murder of people. We work and live with Jews, and we did not expect such a war. Thank you very much to the family. "Jews, there are human beings. For us, Yigal is part of our family, we are sorry that he died in this way."

Joshua, 56, was hit in the head a few days ago when he was attacked by Arab rioters, and was taken to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in critical condition.

The staff of the General Intensive Care Unit has been fighting for his life ever since, but today he was pronounced dead.

According to the hospital announcement, his family agreed to donate his organs.

"We've been waiting nine years for a kidney and it's not obvious. [It] is really exciting, despite the family's grief," Sheerin and Nivin said.

"Yesterday my mother came back from dialysis and was in a difficult situation, and when she received the message she started crying."

Firuz, Randa's sister, said she hopes to meet Yigal Yehoshua's family members.

"Thank you very much to the family, I wish we could get to know them. It is not obvious," she said, "I wish all the chaos in the country would calm down and we would live in peace with each other."

His organs saved the lives of five people.

After the Joshua family agreed to donate his organs, the transplants were performed in four hospitals - Sheba, Beilinson, Ichilov and Hadassah Ein Kerem.

Two lungs in a 69-year-old man in Beilinson, the liver in a 22-year-old woman in Ichilov, one kidney in a 67-year-old man in Beilinson and a second kidney in a 58-year-old woman in Hadassah Ein Kerem.

It should be noted that three of the transplant recipients signed an Eddie card and for this reason were promoted in line for transplant.

The wife of one of the kidney transplant recipients thanked Joshua's family, after waiting a long time for their donor.

"We have been waiting for a transplant for three years, unfortunately it is the late Miguel.

I want to thank the family that saved our lives, "said the woman." We live in Eilat, at 20:00 in the evening we were told: You have four hours to get to Beilinson.

He is still in recovery.

I hope that from here life becomes sweeter.

We are in the shadow of the pain of Yigal's family.

Hopefully a lot of people will sign the ID card. Hopefully another life is ahead of us. "
