A meeting of solidarity with the Palestinian people was held at the headquarters of the General Labor Union in Lebanon today.

The speeches delivered in the meeting emphasized solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of the aggression and displacement they are facing at the hands of the Israeli occupation.

The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdel Karim, during his participation in the meeting, reiterated Syria’s position in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause, noting that what is happening in the occupied Palestinian territories and what happened to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the neighborhoods of Jerusalem united the Palestinian, Arab and world people, and that the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people

Ambassador Abdel-Karim indicated that Syria stood by right against terrorism and was targeted because it did not neglect the Palestinian cause, explaining that it did not lose its goal and is recovering today and was able to withstand in the face of American-backed terrorism, and it also triumphed with its army and people, which made the forces supporting terrorism reconsider their policies today.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Industry in the Lebanese caretaker government, Imad Hoballah, President of the General Labor Union in Lebanon Bishara Al-Asmar, ambassadors for Palestine, Tunisia and Cuba, and several Lebanese political and trade union figures.
