Continuous rain hit the current road construction site in the municipality of Hohenkammer hard.

Now the construction period is to be extended by four weeks to June 30th.

Hohenkammer

- Mayor Mario Berti reported to the local council that the water was currently in the construction site in phases. Therefore, the underground of the important municipal road between the B 13 near Hohenkammer and Petershausen (district of Dachau) could not be completed. The reason for the problem is the continuous rain of the past few days, which is intensified by the gradient of the fields adjacent to the north, because this surface water also flows into the construction site. Berti explained that they are currently two weeks behind schedule and have now applied to the district office to extend the construction site with a safety buffer. If you can then finish earlier, the opening will take place before June 30th.

Getrud Wagatha then specifically addressed the strawberry field: “This is where the strawberries ripen, no matter how far the construction site is. How should you get there? ”The field for picking your own local fruit is located almost exactly in the middle of the one kilometer long construction site, so the area is currently neither accessible from the B 13 nor from Untermarbach. Mayor Mario Berti confirmed that he was in talks with the operator of the field and that the construction site had been planned until the end of May so as not to collide with the strawberry season. There is currently still hope that the soil under the road will be sealed in the coming days and that the construction site will be completed shortly before the start of the harvest.
