Geretsried - The showcase is up, the advertising is hanging: the new “Amormio” ice cream parlor in “Puls G” on Karl-Lederer-Platz is ready to open.
"We have submitted our business registration and are only waiting for confirmation from the city and district office," says an employee of the operating family, who does not want to be named.
Every day she expects that it can finally start.
"Amormio" is an Italian ice cream manufacturer that will make its products fresh every day in Geretsried. The ice laboratory is set up behind the showcase. There should be 24 types of milk and fruit ice cream. “The fruit ice cream and 'dark chocolate' are vegan,” explains the employee. The ball costs 1.40 euros. Ice cream sundaes and coffee for the bar area are in crockery for self-service. The ice cream parlor is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in summer.
The new ice cream parlor on Karl-Lederer-Platz should actually have opened last year. But the operator died after a serious illness. The daughter now continues the business. In addition, the corona pandemic made preparations difficult. "Our facility comes from Italy," says the employee, referring to the quarantine regulations when crossing borders. The family that runs “Amormio” also runs the “Gran Gelato” ice cream parlor in Bad Tölz and branches in Landsberg am Lech, Schongau and Weilheim.
