The Syrian national football team concludes its local training camp, which it started in Al-Faiha Sports City in Damascus last Sunday, in preparation for the resumption of the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the Asian Cup in China 2023.
The fourth and final training session will be led by Captain Nabil Maaloul, the coach of the national team in the camp program, before the departure of our team’s mission to Lebanon this afternoon, and then departing from Beirut airport towards Dubai Airport, where an external closed camp will be held for the team before heading to China on the thirtieth of this month to complete the qualifying matches. Early next month in front of the Maldives, Guam and China national teams.
Yesterday, our team held a training session as part of its third training, where it witnessed exercises in physical fitness, balls and shooting on the goal. The team manager, Captain Abdelkader Kardagli, expressed his great satisfaction with the positive course of the camp, saying, “The camp is of great physical benefit to the local players present, especially after our local football competitions ended. "All the difficulties that faced the players' travel issues to China have disappeared, and everything is in the right way. The team is in a state of continuous development, especially for the final and decisive stage of the qualifiers."
Our team players Ahmed Al-Saleh and Al-Din Dali, who are active in the Kuwaiti Football League for the benefit of Al-Arabi Club, arrived at the headquarters of the team’s mission in Dubai yesterday after they finished the season with their team by winning the Kuwaiti League Championship title.
The International Federation and the Asian Football Confederation had decided to postpone the joint Asian qualifiers for the World Cup and Asia finals until June due to the Corona pandemic, noting that our team has fifteen points in the qualifiers, which they won from five victories over the Philippines 5-2, the Maldives 2-1 and Guam 4- Zero, China 2-1, and the Philippines 2-1 again.
