Three people were injured on Wednesday May 19 in a shooting in Thorigny-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne), including two men for whom the prognosis is vital, and a fourth person involved in this settling of scores is on the run, said the Meaux prosecutor's office.

The facts took place around 8:00 am, when two men presented themselves on the ground of a couple of sedentary travelers. The exact circumstances of the shooting remain to be determined, according to the Meaux prosecutor's office, but one of the attackers fired in the direction of the couple. The 40-year-old man was seriously injured. His partner, who was beaten, then grabbed a hunting rifle and in turn fired in the direction of the attackers. She injured one of them while the second was able to escape.
The two men with gunshot wounds were taken to hospital: one was taken to Kremlin-Bicêtre in Val-de-Marne, the other was helicoptered to La Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris. Their vital prognosis is engaged, indicated the prosecutor of Meaux Laureline Peyrefitte. The woman was hospitalized in Seine-et-Marne. The judicial police of Meaux were seized of the investigation. A large police force has been put in place to find the fleeing man.
