The Syrian embassy in the Egyptian capital Cairo has completed its preparations for Syrians residing in Egypt to cast their votes in the presidential elections scheduled for tomorrow.

The embassy’s headquarters were equipped and the locations for entry and exit from the Election Commission were determined, taking into account the precautionary measures taken in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic. The equipment for the secret room in which the voting process would take place was also completed, in addition to preparing the ballot box and hanging banners explaining the electoral procedures to facilitate the task of the voter.

Dr. Bassam Darwish, head of the diplomatic mission in Egypt, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent in Cairo that the embassy has completed all arrangements awaiting the start of the voting process at 7 a.m. tomorrow, which will last for 12 hours, indicating that the embassy opens its doors to all Syrians registered in the voters ’registry to exercise their constitutional and electoral right. .

In turn, the Syrian embassy in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, has completed all arrangements for conducting the presidential elections for citizens residing abroad.

The Syrian ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, confirmed that the embassy had secured all the equipment, including the completion of the electoral register, ballot boxes, secret rooms, sterilization tools, and other details of the electoral process in order to make this entitlement successful in an optimal manner.

The embassy had invited the members of the Syrian Arab community residing in the UAE to come to its headquarters in Abu Dhabi and the General Consulate in Dubai tomorrow from seven in the morning until seven in the evening in order to exercise their electoral right.

In Paris, the Syrian embassy finished its preparations for the presidential elections for Syrians abroad, in addition to taking all the required legal, logistical and health measures to ensure the full conduct of the electoral process under the supervision of the committee formed to supervise the elections.

The embassy has maintained continuous contact with members of the Syrian community in France since the announcement of the date of the presidential elections, calling on them to actively participate in the voting process that will take place at the embassy headquarters tomorrow.

For its part, the Syrian embassy in the Armenian capital Yerevan has completed its preparations to receive the Syrian community and students to exercise their constitutional right in the presidential elections tomorrow, and has coordinated with the Syrian community by holding several meetings to discuss the mechanism of cooperation and work to do the duty on the day of the election in the fullest way.

In order to ensure the safety of voters, the embassy has taken the necessary preventive measures to ensure safe elections, calling for adherence to the instructions of the Armenian Ministry of Health regarding the Covid-19 epidemic.

Our embassies in the Sultanate of Oman, Belarus, Austria, Sweden and Argentina have also completed their preparations for the Syrians residing in them to exercise their constitutional right and their national duty in the presidential elections.
