The general practitioners in the district see problems coming.

- With a fallacy, Dr. Katharina Klein immediately said: “The fact that the vaccination prioritization will be lifted from Thursday does not mean that everyone can come to the practice now and be vaccinated immediately,” clarifies the family doctor from Tutzing. There is simply still a lack of sufficient vaccination doses. For this week, Klein has around 50 cans of Biontech and Astrazeneca in stock. However, there are almost 500 people on their waiting list for a Biontech vaccination alone. After all, the number of interested parties for Astrazeneca is significantly lower. "We have already worked through the list quite well," says Klein. Those who do not mind having the vaccine, which is at times controversial, may also have the chance of an appointment at short notice.

In principle, however, Katharina Klein wants to continue to vaccinate according to prioritization in her practice.

"We are still in the priority 2 list, so I won't prefer a healthy 50-year-old to a 75-year-old with previous illnesses," she emphasizes.

She hopes that her patients will continue to register at the vaccination centers at the same time.

"This is the only way to make progress overall."

Dr.

Felizitas Leitner from Weßling: "The pressure on us family doctors is increasing"

Dr. Felizitas Leitner shares her colleague's concerns. "The pressure on us family doctors increases without prioritization," says the doctor with a practice in Weßling. You have great understanding that everyone now wants to be vaccinated as soon as possible, for example to go on the long-awaited vacation. However, her team can only vaccinate what is available in the form of vaccination doses. According to her, the company doctors could remedy the situation. "If many middle-aged adults were to be vaccinated in their workplaces, it would be a significant relief for us."

Dr.

Markus from Rebay.

"There is no bureaucratic obstacle," says the doctor from Gilching.

He would have taken this step a long time ago.

Of course, he also knows that it takes more vaccination doses overall to meet the request for a vaccination appointment for everyone.

From tomorrow he will at least be able to determine for himself which patient should be vaccinated when and with which vaccine.

“As a doctor, I can really assess something like that,” he says.

"I think this regulation is much better."

Dr.

Richard Aulehner has a vaccination waiting list with around 1000 people

A vaccination waiting list with about 1000 people on it exists in the Kraillinger community general practice of Dr. Richard Aulehner. "We have already processed around 300 of them, but we get ten to 15 new registrations every day," he says. His group practice must always state in their orders which doses are intended for first and second vaccinations. There have already been cuts in those for initial vaccinations. The prioritization release for Biontech from Thursday “doesn't change much,” says Aulehner. The practice continues to work consistently from the waiting list. The vaccine from Astrazeneca is going "tougher, but it is especially popular with young people," he reports.

The doctor also works at the Gautinger vaccination center. “We have a little more vaccination doses there, otherwise the situation is similar. We currently have a traffic jam because there are a lot of second vaccinations, but fewer first vaccinations, ”says Aulehner. An important difference is that the prioritization remains in the vaccination center.
