Literally, the first meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov took place in a polar atmosphere.
The two diplomats met on Wednesday evening on the sidelines of the Arctic Council meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland.
This multilateral forum brings together the eight countries bordering the Arctic (Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Canada, the United States and Russia), representatives of indigenous peoples and observer countries, including several European States, notably France, and even China, which has defined itself since 2013 as
