In the village of Al-Bajaria in the Qamishli countryside in Al-Hasakah, the people organized a Watan tent in support of participating in the presidential elections scheduled for the twenty-sixth of this month.

In a statement to SANA's correspondent, one of the sheikhs of the Al-Buassi clan, Khatib Elias Al-Talab, confirmed that the people of the village of Al-Bujaria and the people of the Al-Buassi clan will participate in the elections, as it is a national duty for all Arab tribesmen in the Syrian island, stressing that the elections are a hope for a better future for the people of Syria.

Community and student events participated in a march that included all popular activities, stressing the need to participate in the presidential elections, as the participants affirmed that their hope for the reconstruction of Syria and the elimination of all forms of terrorism requires them to participate.

The city of Hasaka witnessed multiple national activities in support of the constitutional entitlement, as the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education, carried out a national singing celebration entitled (Hope for Youth), in which a number of artists participated with patriotic songs that revived the steadfastness of our people and the championships of the Syrian Arab Army in making victory over terrorism. The Baath Vanguards Organization held a number of popular patriotic paintings to celebrate the occasion.

In the Arab Cultural Center, the Culture Directorate, in cooperation with the Eastern Region Branch of the Artists Syndicate, held a singing poetry concert in which a group of folk artists and poets participated in a variety of national songs and poems, stressing the importance of active participation in the presidential elections.

And in Lattakia, the Latakia Workers Union held a ceremony today at Dar Al-Assad for Culture to support the presidential elections.

The President of the General Federation of Trade Unions, Jamal al-Qadri, affirmed that this entitlement is a bullet in the chest of all who conspired against and targeted Syria, and it is a greeting to each of the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army, a bouquet of responses to the tomb of every martyr, and a message to all the honorable and to everyone who works sincerely for the sake of Syria.

The branch of the National Union of Syrian Students organized a public gathering at Tishreen University with the participation of students and administrative staff from various colleges and institutes in support of the presidential election.

Dr. Muhammad Qusra, Administrative Deputy at the College of Pharmacy, stressed that the presidential elections are a national duty for every Syrian who is keen on the security of his homeland and the safety of its lands.

In the same context, an exhibition of handicrafts was opened in the central library of the university with the participation of 37 young men and women from different colleges.

In a similar scene, Syrian scouts, in cooperation with the Revolutionary Youth Union branch, participated in a carnival rally starting from the Martyr Maher Darwish Ahmed School on the southern corniche, passing through Baghdad Street, and reaching Sheikh Daher Square in the city center.

In Homs, the Governorate's Agricultural Union organized a public meeting with the participation of the Agricultural Engineers Association, Homs Chamber of Agriculture, and the Veterinary Medical Association branch in front of the Union’s headquarters on Hama Road in the city.

In the Al-Waer neighborhood of the Martyr Ahmed Al-Mubarak School, students shouting and chanting to the rhythm of national music in support of participation in the elections.

The Rastan Teachers Syndicate Division also held a national party at the Muhammad Qasim Tlass School in the presence of school principals and teachers in the region, where teachers affirmed their national role and loyalty to the homeland and generations through active participation in the elections, and during the celebration artistic and sports activities and the recitation of poems and literary thoughts.

The civil and popular activities in Homs also organized a public celebration on Palmyra road in Homs, in the presence of a crowd of tribal leaders and notables from Homs, as well as official and popular events. The speeches delivered at the ceremony emphasized the importance of all Syrians participating in the elections and choosing the most suitable for the leadership of Syria.

In the same context, the Homs Workers Union organized a national gathering in Al Arbaeen Square and Al Mahatta neighborhood, in support of the presidential elections and national sovereignty, and a token of loyalty to the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army.

Residents also gathered in the city of Al-Qusayr on the highway in support of the presidential elections and in loyalty to the blood of the righteous martyrs.

The cultural events in Homs organized a dialogue seminar in which a number of writers and clerics participated, explaining the importance of participating in the elections to show the state of recovery that Syria is going through after the remnants of terrorism were removed from it.

Father Rami Makhoul from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese indicated that merit is a new victory for Syria and that it is a responsibility before God and the homeland to participate in it to choose the candidate who is able to lead Syria towards a better future.

The General Sports Federation branch also organized a sports festival in the city's cultural center, which included paintings in Taibu, Zumba and Yoga.

Praise of Muhammad, President of the Syrian Arab Federation for Sports for All, pointed out that these events are evidence of the victory of the will of the Syrian people, while the head of the Athletics Office, Aqeel Fahali, pointed out the importance of broad participation in the elections.

The Homs Workers Union also organized mass rallies in front of the Finance and Tourism directorates, in cooperation with the people of the Bab Hud and Insha'at neighborhoods, in which the participants emphasized that participation is a national right and duty, while the head of the Homs Workers Union, Hafez Khunsar, stated that participation is a fulfillment of the homeland and the sacrifices of our brave army.

Among the activities, 11 artists also participated in two painting exhibitions held by the Faculties of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Al-Baath University, which included about 100 paintings, while the students of the College of Music at the university gave a concert with the participation of 88 male and female musicians who performed national musical and lyrical pieces.

Dr. Nidal Sattouf, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, emphasized the importance of participating in the elections, while the Dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Dr. Jacqueline Taqtak, indicated that the music students expressed through the ceremony their love and loyalty to Syria, their army and their martyrs.

Also, a number of plastic artists set up at the entrance to Al-Arrab Street in the city center, an artistic forum to paint their paintings in the open air, whose subjects were dominated by a patriotic character, as an expression of their support for the elections.

In As-Suwayda, the Journalists Union branch for the southern region held an event in the Watan tent with the participation of civil, popular, official, religious and youth activities, during which they emphasized the importance of participating in the elections as an expression of the nation’s love.

The head of the Journalists Union branch in the southern region, Rafiq Al-Kafiri, explained that the participation is a message to all the enemies of the homeland, that the Syrian people are the ones who decide their future without dictations or interference.

Both media professionals Mouin Al-Amatouri and Khouzama Al-Warhani pointed out that this entitlement indicates democratic life inside Syria and that the election is a state of loyalty to the blood of the martyrs who sacrificed for the sake of Syria.

While the branch of the Veterans League in As-Suwayda held an event within the League’s headquarters, which included civil and official delegations and members of the Association, in which words expressed the importance of participating in the elections.

Retired officer Imad Harb stressed the necessity of voting to continue the path of victory, while retired Colonel Bashar Shaarani of the Veterans League indicated that participation is a national duty and an indication of the cohesion of the Syrian people. Retired officer Issam Naim noted that every vote in the ballot box is a bullet in the chest of every aggressor.

And in the College of Agriculture, an artistic ceremony was held for the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students (Al-Yasmine Al-Syrian), and a student rally was held from all faculties of the Damascus University branch in Sweida.

The students, Majd al-Mamsani, Maya al-Samman, Maha Sharaf al-Din, Hazar al-Shasha’a and Lama Jundi, noted the necessity of participating in the elections, as an affirmation of the march of knowledge and action aimed at rebuilding Syria, stressing that holding the elections on time is a message confirming the steadfastness of the Syrian people.

In Daraa, the Revolutionary Youth Union branch held a football championship in the Sixth Form in the closed gymnasium in Al-Basil Sports City.

Rudeina Azar, Secretary of the Youth Branch, explained that the aim of the championship is to introduce the importance of the participation of youth and sports cadres in the elections.

In Hama, popular and civil events in the suburb of Abi Al-Feda set up a Watan tent that included artistic performances and patriotic chants, in which the participants expressed the importance of elections in strengthening national sovereignty and consolidating democracy.

In the countryside of Hama, civil and official events organized mass gatherings in the city of Mahrada, the town of Shatha, and the village of Latamin.

The head of the city council of Mahrada, Eng. Johnny Sadir, indicated that the national unity and the Syrians ’love for each other was evident in the elections abroad and will be clearer and more effective in the twenty-sixth elections of this month.
