The candidate of Europe Écologie Les Verts (EELV) for the presidency of the Île-de-France region Julien Bayou proposes the implementation of a green investment plan of 3 billion euros called "Green New deal", in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche.

A "Green New Deal"
To finance this “Green New Deal”, the environmental candidate said he wanted to “redirect credits devoted to economic development”, cut certain subsidies to companies “which pollute, lay off, relocate or do not respect gender equality”, resort to debt and also to European funds.
While the left is divided in the first round on June 20 - in addition to Mr. Bayou, Audrey Pulvar (PS) and Clémentine Autain (LFI / PCF) are also in the running - the environmental candidate, certain "to arrive in the lead" against these competitors intends to propose "a rally on the basis" of its project in the second round.
