Simone Biles never tires of astonishing the world with her ability to perform unprecedented jumps and pirouettes for artistic gymnastics.
The 24-year-old American, who is preparing to go to Tokyo 2020 for more history, returned to the competition after 587 days and did it in a big way, as all fans of this sport are used to.
Because at the
US Classic
held in Indianapolis he managed to complete a
Yurchenko Double Pike
during his jumping routine
.
This movement, which no woman had performed before in a competition, is one of the most difficult in gymnastics and consists of the athlete reaching the
horse
with a back pirouette, and then doing a double turn with her legs stretched out. .
Wearing a white mesh with an embroidered goat on the back - referring to her status as GOAT (an acronym that in English means 'The best of all time'), the world and Olympic champion generated so much momentum to perform the jump, that she gave a couple of big jumps on landing before also showing his relief and satisfaction at what he accomplished.
Y'all .... @Simone_Biles is amazing.
She became the first women in history to land a Yurchenko double pike on vault in competition.

"I was just thinking: do it like when you train. Don't try to overdo it at all, because I have a tendency as soon as I raise my hand to dominate things," Biles told NBC after the tournament.
"I'm proud of how things turned out, although it was a bit difficult."
The jump is named after the Soviet gymnast Natalia Yurchenko, although if Biles manages to do it successfully at the Olympic Games in the Japanese capital, it will be renamed with her name.
