The Colors and Ideas Competition, in its third round, reached its final stage when it honored 313 students from the winners of its prizes from the primary and secondary education stages from different governorates.

The competition, which was held by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Alef Noon Gallery for Arts and Spirituality, honored the winners of its prizes in a special ceremony held at Nahla Zaidan School in Damascus in the presence of the families of the honorees, with various singing, musical and dance performances presented by school theater students, in addition to musical compositions presented by the Copper Ceremony Band at the Ministry of Interior.

Regarding the competition, plastic artist Badie Jahjah, director and owner of the Alf Nun Gallery, said in a statement to SANA: “The competition, in which more than 3 thousand students from all over the country participated, aims to spread love among the people of Syria because art is a force that unites people and reflects our belonging to beauty, humanity, and art that builds the homeland. And the human being and this is what the Colors and Ideas competition sought.

In her turn, the first instructor of art, visual and aesthetic education in the Ministry of Education, Sandra Nabulsi explained that 100 students of the three age groups were to win, but the presence of a large number of talents raised the number of awards to 313, pointing out that the event came to encourage the winners to give more. Artistic and emphasizing the importance of this creative aspect to them and their families.

Julia Al-Ghazzi, first grade girl, painted a girl who looked like her surrounded by hearts as an expression of love and her happiness.

The child Maya Al-Aakl drew a group of girls in a beautiful dance within the picturesque atmosphere of nature in bright colors, where she said: “I wanted to express the importance of friendship and love through my drawing and I am very happy with this competition because I am one of the winners in it.

The two brothers, Ali and Saleh Shaheen, from the sixth and third grades, expressed their happiness at being one of the winners of the results of the competition and that they wanted from their paintings to emphasize the importance of peace and love among people as well as the beauty and protection of nature.

The rest of the prizes will be distributed to the winners in their governorates in similar artistic activities.
