The Syrian Arab People's Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project, and a number of Palestinian factions affirmed their support for the presidential elections on the twenty-sixth of this May, stressing that the Syrian people will achieve victory in this event as it has achieved in the battlefields against terrorism.
During a meeting of the committee headed by Dr. Saber Falhout at its headquarters in Damascus with the Director General of the Jerusalem-Syria Foundation, Khalaf al-Miftah, and a number of leaders and representatives of the Palestinian factions, it was decided to hold a speech festival tomorrow, Monday, in the al-Assad library, in support of the presidential elections and in gratitude for Syria’s historic stances with the Palestinian cause and its people.
The participants pointed out that standing by Syria is a patriotic and national duty because it is the main pillar of the axis of resistance and support for the Palestinian people, stressing that the war that was waged against it over a period of 10 years aimed at its fragmentation and removal from the axis of resistance and ending the Palestinian cause, but Syria won thanks to the steadfastness of its people and the sacrifices of its army.
