The Justice of Santiago del Estero accused

Daniel Alperovich

, son of the former governor of Tucuman and current senator José Alperovich,

as a member of an illegal association

, in the case that investigates the theft of 3,500 cattle.

Daniel Alperovich would be a member of the board of the "La Galesa" establishment, located in the Santiago town of Pozo Hondo, where they found part of the animals reported by the firms San Eugenio SA, El Tránsito SA and El 38 SA at the end of last year.

The Justice of that province had also found animals from the complainant firms in another establishment linked to the Alperovich family in the Bandera Bajada area, north of the province of Santiago, on the edge of the Chaco.


They found more than 200 stolen cattle in a field owned by José Alperovich in Santiago del Estero.

Likewise, the Santiago justice also charged under the same crime the former president of the Rural Society of Jesús María

Situation of detainees

The Control and Guarantees judge, Darío Alarcón, ordered this Friday the release of businessmen Joaquín Magliano, Andrés Demicheli and Juan Pablo Miretti, after imposing individual bonds of $ 5,000,000, according to the El Liberal portal.

The magistrate decided to grant the benefit that also includes strict rules of conduct: not to be absent from their real homes for more than 24 hours, without the knowledge and authorization of the judge (indicating reasons for absenteeism), the prohibition of ingesting alcoholic beverages and narcotics for 6 months , the prohibition to leave the country, the obligation to appear before subpoenas by the police, prosecution or judge and sign once a week the appearance before a police station near your home.

The beginnings of the cause

The judicial case on January 30 of last year, when the complaining firms began to send cattle from their fields located in Chaco, Formosa and Corrientes to the Oleos del Centro establishments, led by Luis Magliano, located in the Santiago towns of Weisburd and Campo Gallo for rearing and fattening.

In total, there were 3,530 cattle valued at more than 150 million pesos.

Already closing 2020, a pandemic in between, the affected firms realized that the animals were missing when they went to remove them and made the corresponding police report.

From there, the raids began in different fields.

Of the total reported, the affected companies have already recovered 1,580 animals, which were in the fields of national senator José Alperovich and in the field of the Agrolam company.
