Max Verstappen signed on Sunday in Monaco, his 12th career victory in Formula 1, the second this season after his success at Imola in mid-April.
The Dutch Red Bull driver, who had never won in the streets of the Principality, beat the Spaniard Carlos Sainz, who gives Ferrari his first podium in 2021, and the Briton Lando Norris (McLaren).
In the standings of the World Drivers' Championship, Verstappen is now ahead of Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), only 7th on Sunday.
On the French side, Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) finished 5th, Esteban Ocon (Alpine) 9th.
Note the fine 5th place of a Sebastian Vettel making progress over Aston Martin.
Remember that Charles Leclerc, who won pole position on Saturday, did not start due to a mechanical problem.
