Corona in Bavaria: Munich incidence slips back below 50 - Söder surprises with holiday announcement

Update from May 24th, 10:10 am

: Markus Söder does not want to rate the situation of the students too negatively in the corona pandemic.

"We mustn't persuade the students that they are a lost generation," said Bavaria's Prime Minister to the newspapers of the Funke media group (Monday).

“For example, I don't think the Abitur will be any worse this year.” The challenge lies with the younger generation and with the students: from families with little educational background.

Special educational programs will be offered for them, for example in the form of summer schools.

“Maybe we also have to adapt the curricula and go unconventional.

But that is easy to do, ”the CSU boss continued.

Söder was also hopeful that trips abroad would be possible in the future.

There must be a "change of scenery".

You shouldn't give people a guilty conscience if they wanted to leave, said Söder.

"Anyone who flies to Mallorca can do so with a clear conscience".
