In support of the constitutional entitlement scheduled to take place on the twenty-sixth of May, and at the invitation of the Union of Journalists, a number of Syrian and Arab journalists gathered today in front of the Union headquarters in Damascus.

President of the Union of Journalists, Musa Abdel Nour, stressed in a speech during the gathering that participating in the presidential elections is a Syrian sovereign decision, and no one has the right to interfere in it, indicating that the efforts made by the media professionals in every circumstance that Syria goes through are still up to the challenge and they are continuing with all their energies and capabilities until victory is achieved .

A member of the Syndicate of Journalists in Lebanon, Ali Youssef, who participated in the stand, affirmed in a statement to SANA the unity of the path and destiny between Lebanon and Syria and that the battle is one in the face of the forces of aggression and colonialism, adding: “Our participation today is confirmation that Syria is the heart of the axis of resistance and holding the elections proves that it is still List as a country and institutions and did not allow anyone to influence or impose external dictates on them.

In a similar statement, the head of the Najaf Governorate branch assured Iraqi journalists, Iyad al-Jubouri, that their participation in supporting these elections is a renewal of the pledge and loyalty to Syria's resistance approach and participation in the construction process, noting the strength and cohesion of the Syrian people who destroyed all conspiracies and confronted all forms of terrorism.

"This stance is from the heart of the homeland and its land, and let us tell the world that we Syrians are able to decide our future on our own," said Al-Thawra newspaper journalist Deeb Ali Hassan.

Journalist Muhammad Najm from the Syrian Al-Akhbariya channel considered in a similar statement that this pause is a message to all countries of the world that the Syrian people are the ones who have the final say in determining their future and choosing their president for the next stage, and an affirmation that Syria is a state of constitutional institutions that exercises their role to the fullest despite all the circumstances that befell them. And that the upcoming constitutional entitlement is a new beginning for Syria, a new victory, and a bright future.
