Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, during a telephone conversation with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, reiterated the necessity of cooperation between the two countries to face unilateral US measures.
The Assistant for Communications and Information Affairs in the Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Iran, Ali Reza Moazi, said in a statement carried by the Iranian news agency IRNA that the Iranian president and his Chinese counterpart discussed developments related to the nuclear agreement and the progress in the ongoing negotiations in Vienna and stressed the need to continue its implementation and commitment to it, and Rouhani renewed the call for the need to lift sanctions. Unilateralism imposed on the Iranian people and the acceleration of completion of the Arak reactor in accordance with the nuclear agreement and the need for close cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the Chinese President affirmed that “Beijing has always supported the nuclear agreement,” stressing the need to lift all sanctions imposed on Iran.
The negotiations, which have been going on for weeks between the "four plus one" group and Iran in Vienna regarding the nuclear agreement, aim to ensure the return of the United States to it after it withdrew from it unilaterally in 2018 and to ensure that all parties concerned implement it fully and effectively.
