The Hong Kong vaccination program has been in operation for nearly three months. Of the 9 people sent to hospital yesterday, two received Kexing vaccine. The 48-year-old woman who received the first injection at the community health center in Tin Shui Wai (Tin Yip Road) had chest pain and was sent to Tin Shui Wai Hospital. She was discharged after her condition stabilized.
The other involved a 21-year-old woman. She developed a rash on her left forearm after being vaccinated at the Fanling Family Medical Center. She was treated at the North District Hospital in a stable condition and was discharged.
The remaining 7 cases were vaccinated with Fubital, and the age ranged from 17 to 66 years old.
The 17-year-old woman who received the first injection at the Community Vaccination Center of Rainbow Road Badminton Center lost consciousness afterwards and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. After treatment, she was discharged.
A 29-year-old woman suffered a numbness of her right face after receiving the second dose at the Community Vaccination Center of Yuen Long Stadium yesterday. After being sent to Pok Oi Hospital, her condition was stable.
Another 51-year-old woman who was also vaccinated with the second dose developed bradycardia and dizziness. She was in stable condition and was admitted to the hospital for observation after treatment.
The remaining symptoms after vaccination include upper extremity rash and high blood pressure.
