The Starnberg Ski Club has hired a new trainer for its talented racing drivers.

As of now, Christoph Jöckel will be responsible for the U12 students at the SCS.

Starnberg

- From 2017 to 2020, Jöckel, who grew up in Huglfing near Weilheim, was the coach of the Bavarian Ski Association responsible for the U16s at SV Munich, and during this time he had Pauline Fischer under his wing from SC Starnberg, among others. Successful in his work, popular and appreciated by the children, parents and trainer colleagues, he quit his trainer job for private reasons and worked as a sports scientist in training therapy in the Medical Park Bad Wiessee. During this time, SCS President Helge von Hirschhausen and press spokesman Axel Müller held several discussions with the 37-year-old, state-certified ski instructor and certified trainer, who was most recently employed in the ski department of SV Söcking. "We look forward to a highly qualified trainer, who has earned an excellent reputation during his time in the Munich Ski Association, ”says Axel Müller.

Jöckel wants to “approach the season highly motivated with a lot of passion and commitment.

In doing so, I want to get the best out of my future athletes, support them in achieving their sporting goals, and encourage and challenge them appropriately.

Of course, both athletic training and our shared passion, skiing, shouldn't neglect fun either. "In private, the new SCS trainer can usually be found on the tennis court or in the mountains in summer." In winter, I have for various leisure activities almost no time, which in my work as a trainer is compensated for by a lot of nice moments ”.
