Merchants and political groups protest this Tuesday in several cities of Argentina,

against the restrictions

on movement and the nine-day confinement ordered by Alberto Fernández.

One of the demonstrations takes place at the

Obelisk

.

This is a Twitter call for the libertarian movement, promoted by its New Center Right party, born in the middle of last year's quarantine due to coronavirus.

They assure that the quarantine

"overwhelms rights".

They denounce that the strict measures against circulation destroyed "the economy and the social fabric in a way never seen in the 211 years of Argentine history."

It is about hundreds of people who carry flags with the colors light blue and white.

The star guests are

gigantic packages of polenta

, in reference to the high prices of the meat and the connection of that food with the poor.

They also displayed Cristina Kirchner's inflatable classic, with prison clothes and the inscription on 1/18/2015, for the death of prosecutor Alberto Nisman.

Hundreds of self-convened arrived minutes later at the Plaza de la República, to swell the demonstration.

They raise proclamations of rejection to the

project of "superpowers"

to shield Alberto Fernández's restrictions.

And they also point

against the reform of the Public Prosecutor's Office

, which modifies the system of election of the attorney.

Users of social networks assure that there was an arrest, although the reasons for the arrest are not known.

Corrientes Avenue, at the height of the Obelisk, is partially cut off.

Another group of people began to gather in front of the

Quinta de Olivos

, emblematic place of the rejection of the suspension of face-to-face classes.

They accuse the Government of "genocidal" and "psychopathic" and demand for the reopening of schools: "They want the ignorant poor."

In Rosario, meanwhile, a group of antiquarantine doctors led a protest, also against the restrictions.

They are the "Doctors for the Truth" and "Argentine Epidemiologists", groups that spread misinformation about the covid.

It took place in the National Monument to the Flag, in full sanitary saturation and lack of beds in the province of Santa Fe.

Faced with the breach of the national DNU measures, the Police intervened and there were incidents.

The marches are replicated in several cities in the Interior, such as

Bariloche and Córdoba.

In these cases,

merchants

who are affected by the operation of their premises

participate and speak

, under the order that they only open essential businesses and that the rest do so with delivery and withdrawal at the premises.

In the south, the protesters displayed Argentine flags on the sidewalks and received the honking of support from the cars that circulated in the civic center of Bariloche.

There the concern is aggravated by the proximity of the winter season and the uncertainty about how the pandemic and the restrictions will continue.

There are also concentrations in General Roca.

In Córdoba, also with a lot of national symbolism and in keeping with the May 25 holiday, the call is so far the most populous, with hundreds of people in the central streets.

"Commerce is in mourning,"

reads one of the posters raised by the participants, many of them representing chambers of commercial sectors.

"The solution is not to lock us up, the solution is the vaccines, which this Government made sure that we did not have all the necessary ones," complained a woman, in dialogue with TN.

"Coming here is the only way to manifest ourselves, or is there another way?"

"It has been a year and two months since the national government has stopped us all, supposedly preparing everything. Today we are at 90 percent (due to intensive care occupation). What did we do in a year and two months?" another protester wondered.

"It is proven that you can work, with the necessary care," he added.

Thousands of merchants, especially gastronomic ones, also express their discontent in northwestern Argentina, in Salta and Tucumán.

In the capital of Salta, the points of the convocation are the Plaza 9 de Julio, the Plaza Alvarado and the Legislature, according to El Tribuno.

Also, there was a caravan in Metán.

Meanwhile, thousands congregate in the Urquiza square in San Miguel de Tucumán.

"It is our source of work. They took away our right to work!" Reads a banner.

"Commerce is not contagious, we want to work", is another inscription.

The Economic Federation of Tucumán (FET) and the Chamber of Merchants of San Miguel de Tucumán participate, reports La Gaceta.

There was also a new cacerolazo in front of the house of the governor, Juan Manzur.
